By crosslinking (SXL) a thermoplastic material changes its structure. The resulting material retains many characteristics of the parent polymer but some physical properties are drastically modified, improving the polymer high temperature and chemical resistance.

PEX Polidan® is an excellent material to produce pipes, where the need of a long service life even under the most severe operating conditions, and it is leading to a progressive replacement of the thermoplastic materials (e.g. polyethylene, PVC, polybutylene, polypropylene).

XL-HFFR, XLPE, XLEPR, for cable applications, acquire the same good proprieties in term of operating conditions and durability of the cables.

-HFFR thermoplastic and SXL compounds contains a fire retardant system that lends the cable self-extinguish properties without halogenidric acids evolution; furthermore, toxic and corrosive gas emissions and smoke generation are particularly reduced. These characteristics make HFFR compounds suitable for all applications where the fire behaviour of cable materials is one of the main factors to take into account when a high safety level is required, for example in public places

In-house gas transport and connections with plastic pipes are now a reality in Netherlands and soon also in Germany. PEX pipes are certified to distribute gas inside the house.
PEX Polidan® has a very low permeability to combustible gas and to its smelling components, properties which, together with  the superior mechanical resistance, make possible its use to produce indoor gas pipes.

Halogen Free Flame Retardant compounds suitable for the production of profile, conduit and Trunking where high safety level in case of fire is required, for e.g. in public building etc.

Our crosslinkable Compounds are 'ambient curing'  ready to use on standard lines and suitable for the foaming process.

By crosslinking PE several benefits are obtained , as a significant increase in heat, ageing and chemical resistance, improvements in wear behavior and low temperature impact strength.    

In addition a reduction in abrasion and brittle fracture is achieved.
