Flexible elastomer-based compound, crosslinkable "ambient curing" or by exposure to moisture for power cable insulation and sheathing

Polidiemme G 0216/01 is a new compound specifically developed for cables insulation and sheathing. It is based on an elastomeric polyolefin blend grafted with silane and crosslinkable by exposure to moisture according to Sioplas^® method. It doesn’t contain halogens nor other elements which can produce toxic effluents in case of fire.

Its mechanical and thermal performances and good fluid resistance make it suitable to be used in many applications even in industrial enviroment, comprising H05RR-F cables and welding cables.

Polidiemme G 0216/01 can be processed on standard PVC extrusion line, even if equipped with double flight screw; thanks to its high fluidity motor current load and back pressure are low also at high screw speed.

Polidiemme G 0216/01 must be added with 5% of Catalyst CT/1 or CT/2 just before extrusion to promote crosslinking. The new grade Catalyst CT/3 BLK is also available to impart black color and UV resistance for jacketing application; it is packed in moisture proof bags to allow long term storage without any need of predrying before use.

Polidiemme G 0216/01 doesn’t contain ungrafted silane and can guarantee the highest safety conditions during processing and the lowest ambient impact.
